Quinton Aaron’s family has shared a concerning update on the actor’s health as the Blind Side star remains on life support and “fighting for his life” in the hospital.
According to his loved ones, doctors discovered a rare cyst on the 41-year-old actor’s spine while conducting a series of medical tests. The family shared the update with TMZ on Tuesday.
While physicians are reportedly performing additional examinations to determine whether the cyst is benign, Aaron’s family said the Be Kind Rewind actor may need to undergo back surgery.
Aaron, pictured at the Super Bowl XLV Pregame Show at Dallas Cowboys Stadium on Feb. 6, 2011, may face serious health challenges ahead.
His family revealed that back surgery could require “extensive physical therapy” and potentially leave the actor “confined to a wheelchair” for the foreseeable future.
The Post has reached out to Aaron’s representatives for further comment.
Aaron is best known for his role as NFL offensive lineman Michael Oher opposite Sandra Bullock’s Leigh Anne Tuohy in the Oscar-winning 2009 film The Blind Side.
