Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek had travelers doing a double-take in Mexico City last week. The “Eternals” co-stars boarded a commercial flight over the weekend, captured in a video shared on TikTok Saturday. The actresses kept it casual as they chatted on the jet bridge before their flight to Veracruz.
Hayek paired her white joggers with a matching sweater, while Jolie chose a cream top and coordinating pants.
When fans asked Jolie, 50, and Hayek, 58, for photos, they politely declined—but happily posed for pictures around the terminal and while dining.
Social media users expressed surprise and curiosity about the duo’s decision to travel publicly on a commercial flight in the comments section.
“Why don’t they have a private jet?” one fan wondered, while another joked that it seemed like Hayek “hadn’t stopped talking to” her A-list friend for days.
The pair grew close while working on Eternals in 2021.
Three years later, Hayek starred in Without Blood, a film Jolie wrote, co-produced, and directed.
In an interview with People last year, Hayek gushed about the “Salt” star.
“We do things together as a family. We hang out with the kids but also by ourselves,” said Hayek, mother to 17-year-old daughter Valentina, in September 2024.
Jolie, meanwhile, is mother to six children: Maddox, 23; Pax, 21; Zahara, 20; Shiloh, 19; and twins Knox and Vivienne, 17.
Three years later, Jolie cast her fellow A-list actress in Without Blood.
Hayek described their bond as “super inspiring.”
She shared, “A friend was telling me, ‘It’s the same life whether you laugh or cry.’ And it’s nice to have a friend where you can laugh and cry … and feel always safe.”
The Ugly Betty alum also offered insight into Jolie’s eldest sons’ roles in Without Blood, revealing that Maddox and Pax’s “very professional” mom-turned-boss was “demanding” of them.
