On Sunday, the legendary frontman shared an image of a poster that had been hanging outside his dressing room during the band’s final show earlier this month.

The photo featured Osbourne alongside his bandmates — Tony Iommi, Bill Ward, and Geezer Butler — with the words “Back to the Beginning” printed across it.

The post was left without a caption.

In a statement to Page Six, Ozzy Osbourne’s wife, Sharon, along with his children — Louis (50), Aimee (41), Kelly (40), and Jack (39) — confirmed the heartbreaking news of his passing.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” the statement read.
“He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family’s privacy at this time.”

No further details about the cause of death have been released.

The family stated that Ozzy “was with his family and surrounded by love.”

Ozzy’s passing comes just over two weeks after his final performance with Black Sabbath in Birmingham, England—the city where the band was formed in the late 1960s.

On July 5, the “Paranoid” legends took the stage at Villa Park Stadium in Birmingham during a massive 10-hour concert. The event featured performances by Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Jack Black, and more, and was hosted by Aquaman star Jason Momoa.

Back in February, Ozzy had announced it would be his final performance with Black Sabbath as his health continued to deteriorate.

The father of six publicly revealed his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis in 2020. Three years later, in 2023, he halted touring following an extensive spinal surgery performed in 2022.

Over the years, Ozzy battled various health issues, including a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis.

In November 2023, Ozzy revealed that after his back surgery left him “virtually crippled,” he felt he had only “10 years left” to live.

Earlier this month, his daughter Kelly addressed rumors claiming her famous father was “dying.”

The former Fashion Police host clarified, “He’s not dying. Yes, he has Parkinson’s, and yes, his mobility is completely different than it used to be, but he’s not dying.”

She added with frustration, “What is wrong with you?”
