Jamie Lee Curtis condemned the ‘nonsense conspiracy theories’ surrounding Catherine, Princess of Wales mere hours before her startling cancer diagnosis was unveiled. Just before Kate Middleton disclosed the news, the 65-year-old actress utilized Instagram to implore individuals to cease speculating about her and her activities. Following the 42-year-old royal’s announcement on Friday detailing her absence from public engagements due to her battle with the illness, the star of “Freaky Friday” extended her heartfelt best wishes to Kate and her family.
In her initial statement, Curtis penned: ‘Can we please cease perpetuating this ridiculous conspiracy theory? This is an individual with young children, evidently facing some health challenges. It’s a private affair.’
As Hollywood luminaries demand apologies for the princess, she further remarked: ‘Don’t we have more pressing matters to attend to and contemplate than this? It’s disheartening to see our society dwelling on such trivialities when there are countless urgent issues demanding our focus.’

Jamie Lee Curtis demanded the cessation of ‘ridiculous conspiracy theories’ surrounding Catherine, Princess of Wales, mere hours before the shocking revelation of her cancer diagnosis.
Later, she followed up with a comment acknowledging Princess Kate’s disclosure of her health status.
“Now that Princess Kate has shared her health journey with us, let’s send nothing but our sincerest well wishes to her and her family, and redirect our focus to our own lives and those directly connected to us,” she wrote. “There are countless pressing issues affecting our children that deserve our attention.”
The princess had revealed her diagnosis in a televised address on Friday evening.
Expressing gratitude in a video, she thanked everyone for their overwhelming support and revealed that she received the cancer diagnosis after undergoing abdominal surgery in January.
Since then, she has been recuperating from the surgery and undergoing ‘preventative’ chemotherapy.
“I wanted to personally extend my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible messages of support and your understanding during my recovery from surgery,” the princess said.
“These past couple of months have been incredibly challenging for our family,” she continued. “But I’ve been fortunate to have an exceptional medical team caring for me, for which I’m deeply thankful.
“In January, I underwent significant abdominal surgery in London,” she added. “Initially, it was believed that my condition was non-cancerous.”

“The surgery was deemed successful,” she elaborated. “However, post-operation tests indicated the presence of cancer.
“This revelation naturally came as a tremendous shock, and William and I have been diligently navigating this situation privately for the well-being of our young family.”
Regarding their three children, the future queen mentioned, “It has taken us time to communicate everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a manner suitable for their understanding, and to assure them that I will be alright.”
The princess is currently undergoing what has been termed a ‘recovery pathway,’ having started a chemotherapy regimen in late February.
