In the aftermath of his father’s passing, 6-year-old Brady Campbell faced a solemn duty: launching the lemonade stand he and his late dad, Brandon, had prepared for together. Brandon succumbed to stage 4 colon cancer at the age of 37 following a six-month struggle.

Despite Brady and his father being unable to fulfill their shared dream, the young boy resolved to execute their plan solo, gearing up to open the stand the day after his father’s demise.

Brady conveyed to his mother, Amanda, his desire to generate sufficient funds to treat her to a date, emulating the tradition his father had always maintained. Amanda shared with CNN, “I think he kind of came up with it himself,” referring to her son’s endearing initiative.

During an interview, Brady expressed his long-standing desire to treat his mom to an outing, yet financial constraints hindered him. After discussions with his dad, they devised a plan to operate a lemonade stand. With a background in business, Brady’s father evidently instilled his ambitious spirit in his son.

Word of Brady’s lemonade stand reached a Denver police officer, who extended invitations to fellow first responders to rally behind the young entrepreneur. A gathering of police officers, firefighters, along with numerous friends and family, ensued to patronize Brady’s lemonade stand.

Amanda Campbell remarked, as reported by FOX31 Denver, “You could just sense the warmth, energy, and such a positive vibe in such a tragic time for us.”

By the close of a bustling day, her son had amassed $244, exceeding the amount needed for a special outing with his mom. Amanda shared that her son’s resilience has been a source of strength during this challenging period. Even after the loss of his father, Brady maintained an optimistic outlook, expressing relief that his father was now free from pain and no longer battling cancer.

As Brady gears up to start first grade in the upcoming fall, he’s also busy planning the ultimate date night for himself and his mom. May they find happiness and healing in their journey ahead.
