Following the revelation of Bruce Willis’s struggle with aphasia, a condition impacting communication, he retreated from the public eye. Subsequently, it was disclosed that the acclaimed Die Hard star is contending with dementia.
In a social media post, his daughter Rumer Willis expressed the family’s profound gratitude for the overwhelming love and support: “Our family would like to begin by conveying our deepest appreciation for the incredible outpouring of love, support, and heartwarming stories we have received since sharing Bruce’s initial diagnosis.
“In that same spirit, we wish to provide you with an update on our cherished husband, father, and friend, given our enhanced understanding of his journey.
“Since announcing Bruce’s aphasia diagnosis in spring 2022, his condition has evolved, and we now have a more precise diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD).”
