The passing of Bryan Randall, the partner of actress Sandra Bullock, left many hearts broken.

After a concealed battle with ALS, Randall passed away, catching those who knew him off guard due to his private struggle.

Confirmation of the news came from Randall’s family, who shared, “It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful departure of Bryan Randall on August 5th, marking the end of his courageous 3-year fight against ALS.”

The statement continued, shedding light on Randall’s choice to keep his ALS battle hidden: “Bryan chose to keep his battle with ALS private, and those of us who cared for him respected his wishes wholeheartedly.”

The family expressed gratitude towards the medical professionals and dedicated nurses who supported them throughout this ordeal: “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the unwavering medical professionals who guided us through the complexities of this ailment, and to the exceptional nurses who became an integral part of our lives, often putting their own families aside to stand by ours. During this period, we kindly ask for privacy as we mourn and attempt to come to grips with the painful reality of bidding farewell to Bryan.”

Bullock and Randall’s paths crossed when he was enlisted as a photographer for her son’s birthday celebration in January 2015. Their romantic journey commenced a few months later, and not long after, both being convinced of their mutual destiny, they made their inaugural appearance as a couple on the Red Carpet.

Their first public outing together was at the wedding of Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux. Subsequently, the pair was captured enjoying a delightful time at West Hollywood’s Craig’s Restaurant.

Though not officially wed, recent revelations have disclosed that the duo exchanged vows in a secluded ceremony in the Bahamas, a ceremony devoid of legal binding, as reported by the Daily Mail. For this event, Bullock had her hair braided and donned a kaftan. A source shared with ET Online that the ceremony was orchestrated “with the children in mind, a gesture to solidify their bond and demonstrate that this was an everlasting commitment.”

Insiders close to the couple unveiled that Bullock’s adopted children affectionately referred to Randall as ‘daddy.’

Discussing her relationship with Louis and Laila, Bullock unveiled in a 2018 interview, “He’s incredibly kind. In the kids’ eyes, he’s like No. 1, and I’m No. 2. I get it, though, because he’s more fun and doles out better treats.”

Despite being known for guarding her private life, the Ocean’s 8 star opened up about her partner in a Red Table Talk appearance, where she disclosed that Randall was the “love of [her] life.”

The actress shared, “I’ve been through the process of divorce. I’ve found the love of my life. We’re raising two beautiful children, three children if you count his older daughter. It’s the best thing ever. So, I’m not saying everyone should follow my path, but I don’t require a piece of paper to be a committed partner or a dedicated mother. I don’t need instructions to be present, even during the toughest times. I don’t need guidance to weather a storm with a good man.”

The passing of Bryan Randall brings deep sorrow.

Our hearts and condolences reach out to Sandra Bullock and Randall’s family.
