When Willie Jones from Louisiana appeared on the show, the 17-year-old was able to make the judges laugh a lot instantly. His behavior was that which the judges displayed very often on the spot.

However, they were completely unprepared for the sound that was about to come out of his mouth.

Jones surprised everyone when the song started. Not only were the live studio audience shocked, but you could also see that the judges had no idea what was going on. It’s because Jones started releasing an amazing country song. Jones was able to sing the song with perfect Southern tone and perfect pitch.

The judges couldn’t believe what they heard as Jones stood on stage and sang his song. They exchanged incredulous looks and continued to terrify the audience with his perfect voice. They knew he would just have to move on to the next round for sure!

Simon Cowell is known for telling it like it is. He doesn’t hold back when talking to contestants, even when his words are something they may not want to hear. However, he absolutely loved the voice he was hearing and was ready to tell Jones what he was thinking.

“You exceeded my expectations, you surprised me,” Simon said. “I think your voice is the sound of an exciting recording and I want to remember that time, the first time I heard Willie Jones – it’s a day to remember.”
