A 97-year-old American Veteran was traveling to France for the D-Day celebration of World War II veterans when he met the 92-year-old Franch woman with whom he fell in love with during the war. They recognized each other and were reunited after 75 years – this proves that true love really exists.

During the war, the American soldier fell in love with the 18-year-old French girl that was living in the town where the soldiers were stationed. At the time, KT Robbins was only 24-yeras old soldier in the American army. When he saw Jeannine Ganaye, an 18-year-old French girl, he instantly fell in love with her. This happened in the town of Briey in 1944.

The two got a chance to meet when Robbins needed to have his clothes washed. Jeannine’s mother agreed to wash the boy’s clothes. When the two saw each other, they instantly fell in love. However, two months later, Robbins had to leave for the Eastern Front to face the Axis powers. He told her that he may come back to take her with him. Jeannine was very upset that he would later leave to the US without her.
