They prayed and asked for prayer from their church community. Little did they know that their prayers would soon be answered.

Shortly before the event, Josh and Stacey cooked some meals for another man from their church group and his sick wife.

That guy was Joshua Matthews. He was a veteran who served in Afghanistan and he was also training with a local power company.

With the help of others who worked for the employer, Joshua and his team were able to complete the job. It was no small feat. They had to work in darkness, cold and humidity for several days.

Their ladder was slippery and the conditions were dangerous. However, the crew was victorious and Lemonds’ house passed inspection. Electricity has been restored to them and they can once again enjoy much-needed heating in their home.

A few days later, Joshua Matthews was called home to recheck the wiring and do surge protector installation.

However, there was no cross-inspection. When Joshua arrived he was greeted with a huge surprise of gratitude from the jubilant couple. You can watch the video to his surprise below.
