There is no doubt that the bond between man and his best friend is a special one indeed.
And “The Dog People” photo series by German-born Ines Opifanti shows just how close that relationship gets.
So much so, that owners begin to read and respond to the subtle emotions of their pets very accurately.
Opifanti photographed the dogs first, letting them sit on a small podium. He asked owners to interact with their pets to relax them.
He then asked the owners to mimic their pet’s expression.
Amazingly, despite being different species, these humans did a pretty good job.
