It’s almost the same time of year again, and with all that 2020 madness, it’ll be nice to return to old-fashioned Halloween fun. And for many, that means finding the perfect Halloween decoration so kids can stop before knocking on the door to order processed sugar. However, many of these store-bought can be quite expensive. Luckily, we’ve found an amazing DIY project that lets you create your very own giant, hairy, creepy spiders with very little material.
Now, if you don’t think you’re particularly smart, don’t worry, because this project is as easy as it is fun. All you need is a few supplies and maybe half an hour. You will find step-by-step instructions below, and you can find most of these supplies at your local hardware store or craft store.

Things you’ll need:
Furry fabric that looks like spider fur
Two half-sphere wire globes (measuring 8-inch and 16-inches)
16 gauge stem wire
Zip ties
Foam Tubes (6 feet by 1 inch)
Hot glue gun and glue sticks (optional)

How to make giant DIY Spiders:
1. First, attach your two half-sphere wire globes using zip ties; this will serve as your head and body. You can also use hot glue if you have a hot glue gun.
2. Next, weave four pieces of wire through each side of your largest globe to create the frame for your legs. You’ll want to go ahead and loop the wire around the frame on both sides a few times to ensure they are secure.
3. After that, cut and mold the spider fur to each circle. You may want to use hot glue to ensure it stays put, but you may not need it.

4. Now, cut your foam tubing. Ensure that it’s big enough to cover each of the wire legs. Also, make sure you have every part of the wire covered and pushed in toward the spider’s body. Then just bend each wire until you achieve that perfect spider shape.
5. Finally, use wire, twine, adhesive stirps, or hooks to place the completed spiders on the outside of your home.
