Dutch tourists Kris Kremers, 21, and Lisanne Froon, 22, went on March 15, 2014 to Panama for a six-week vacation. After two weeks, Both women disappeared without leaving a trace while hiking near the town of Boquete. the summer of last year, locals found a backpack belonging to one of the women along with nearby skeletal remains. With the DNA tests, they confirmed that the remains belonged to the women.
