Alfred Date, 100-years-old and the oldest man in Australia, has never rejected the idea of helping others either humans or animals. His kindness and desire to change people’s life has lead him to knit miniature jumpers for cute and little penguins. This started when an organization called Phillip Island’s Penguin Foundation requested people who are good at knitting from all over the world to help in saving penguins from the effects of an oil spill. Alfred was among the first people who started creating jumpers to collaborate in saving one of the most beautiful creatures on earth. At the beginning you might think that the sweaters are for fashion, but they are not as they help to prevent oil from getting on the penguin’s skin.
