The Ou family of the Wanpu village in China’s Guizhou province was living a normal life like any other family until one day, tragedy strikes. The father, Ou Tongming, 37 years old, became paralyzed after falling a from two story building while working his construction job. With too many medical bills and losing hope of her husband’s recovery, Tongming’s wife abandoned him and his 7-year-old son and left the family in 2013.
Tongming’s son, Ou Yanglin, however, didn’t want to abandon his dad like his mom did. Despite his young age, he is taking care of his sick father without missing a single day of school. What an amazing kid!
His daily routine is to wake up at 6.00 am, prepare breakfast for his father, head to school then come back around lunchtime to feed his father again.
Since he’s living alone with his father, Yanglin learned how to shop grocery and prepare meals to take care of his father.
Yanglin’s neighbors know how life is hard for the young boy, they try to help him financially whenever they can. Although, he is still young and can’t yet provide his and his father’s needs, the brave boy never gives up and tries his best to take care of his father.
There is no other story that can describes unconditional love best as this one. The boy loves so much his sick father that he is willing to take care of him no matter what. Thank you Yanglin for showing us.
