With wildfires continuing to devastate the Fort McMurray, Alberta region, More than 80,000 residents have been forced to flee their homes. Many have flown to other parts of the country to stay with friends and relatives. It’s a distressing process to be sure, and even more so for pet owners.
Fortunately, West Jet and Canadian North airways were making the evacuation procedure more uncomplicated through letting folks fly with their pets within the cabin.
“It’s definitely unusual to carry pets in the cabin, but due to the unusual circumstances we were able to bend the rules to accommodate these animals,” a Canadian North representative explained to Huffington Post Canada.
Generally, animals touring via aircraft will have to be stored within the shipment grasp. However, in the current circumstances the citizens don’t seem to be allowed to go back house for crates so it’s glorious that they may be able to take their liked animals with them.
