A dog was caught on camera sneaking out of her pet motel kennel in a desperate attempt to cuddle with a pair of nine-week-old puppies.
The Australian shepherd cross named Maggie had been put up for adoption and separated from her own litter of puppies just two weeks ago.
So when her new owners placed her at Barker’s Pet Motel and Grooming in St. Albert, Canada, her maternal instincts must have still been in high gear.
“She’d do the little bow down to them and poke them through the chainlink gate of their room,” Pet motel owner Sandra Aldred told CBC. “She was really happy, and then she took me back to their room as if to say: “I really need to meet these puppies. They were just all so happy to be together. The puppies needed her and she needed them. It was pretty perfect.”
