Most of us have no idea about the endangered animals that leave on earth. Tim Flach went on adventure of 2 years, sneaking into their habitats and documenting their rare existences. His project called, Endangered, treats us with unique and exceptional look into the beautiful lives of Earth’s most threatened creatures, and gives us a strong reminder of everything we should be afraid to lose.
The endangered creatures vary from familiar ones like polar bear, snow leopard and cheetah to exotic beasts that we’d thought they only exist in fantasy films like saiga, Philippine eagle and olm salamander. The British photographer, highlights with his artwork the struggles these beautiful creatures go through to survive. Many factors are threatening their lives and cutting down their chance of survive day by day: habitat destruction, hunting, poaching and being sold into the black market. These obviously and sadly caused by humans.
Flach says:
“I wanted an array of endangered species which represented various aspects, some better and some lesser known.”
looking into the eyes of these gorgeous animals featured in Endangered, it wrenches our hearts to think that any one of them would ever be considered less worthy of life than one of us. Scroll down to see the most stunning shots from the series, and vote for the ones that took your breath away.
