Many would argue, but making puns is somewhat of an art form – it takes skill to create something that is both funny and terrible at the same time. As many mixed feelings as they may cause, the Indian Hills Community of Colorado seem to be pros at it with their terribly punny signs.
The culprit behind these sign is Vince Rozmiarek, a Colorado native. In an interview with Bored Panda, he explained that the signs started 5 years ago as an April fools joke: “We have a heavy police presence in the town of Morrison, which is next to Indian Hills, and they run a ton of speed traps. The sign said “Indian Hills annexed by Morrison, slow down”. Many people believed that prank, and the amount of attention it brought was really surprising”. He says he loves to make people laugh and since then, he puts up a sign with a new pun a couple of times every week. Vince also creates special puns for holidays and special events. “It is hard to keep coming up with material, but I do try,” says the master of puns.
